Process Lasso improves system responsiveness and stability in high load situations. It applies user defined rules to running processes to improve system performance, responsiveness, and stability by temporarily restraining out-of-control processes, defaulting specific processes to certain priorities, terminating unallowed processes, and more. In addition, the graphical user interface allows for manual viewing and manipulation of running processes, including module and handle enumeration. Process Lasso is *NOT* a task manager replacement, though it does have some task manager like capabilities as a compliment to its core functions.

Process Lasso 2.20rc1 was released by Bitsum Technologies on Thursday 26 January 2006. Its known requirements are : Windows NT/2000/XP/2003.
Process Lasso will run on Windows 2000, Windows NT and Windows XP.
